VIDEO: National Arts Festival 2014: Crafting a creative existence

The National Arts Festival markets seem to provoke that part in each of us that yearns to purchase impulsively. At every turn there are delightful crafts of rock star-themed clocks, or sports team-branded cigarette lighters. It is these cute crafts that make the Festival markets what they are: a house for items you would not normally browse.

More importantly, however, markets provide an invaluable opportunity for these crafters to display their works. The Eastern Cape Department of Arts & Culture, for example, gives the chance for a few crafters to show off and sell their products at Festival under the guise of an exhibition.
